Customer requested an estimate to replace air conditioner and furnace. I recommended replacing them with a Five Star 80% 70,000 BTU Gas Furnace 3T 17" and Five Star 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. Included in the estimate is a 1 year free service maintenance agreement.
I performed a diagnostic and upon arrival customer stated condenser fan motor would not start unless you manually pushed it to start. Sent call for cooling and found contactor pulled in and unit humming. Tested capacitor and found dead so I replaced and unit started. Had a delta of 14 degrees in a downflow application. Checked refrigerant level, it was slightly low with a sub-cool of 3.4 degrees. Added 1 pound of 410-A to acquire desired sub-cool of 10 degrees. System operational at time of departure.
Upon inspection, I found the compressor capacitor was dead and the refrigerant was getting low. I informed the customer and they approved the repairs. I cycled the system once repairs were done to ensure no other issues were present. System is operational upon departure.
I performed a tune up on a Goodman A/C unit. I found the capacitor needed replaced, informed the customer, and they approved the replacement. I cycled the system and everything checks out. System is operational upon departure.
Customer stated that he would not come on it was just blowing cool air. Reset system and restarted system at thermostat system ignited ran for a few seconds and then went out Pulled in clean flame sensor restarted system tested flame sensor which is now testing 4.2 system ran with no problems Cycled system on and off multiple times with no issues system ran for 15 minutes prior to departure
